Extreme Makeover: School Edition

Children’s Hospital Colorado staff recently traded their syringes and stethoscopes for gardening gloves and wheelbarrows to give Crawford Elementary School a landscape makeover. More than 100 hospital
volunteers and APS staff teamed up on a hot, sunny day to transform the school’s outer appearance.

The event marked the 10th consecutive year Children’s Hospital Colorado staff have dedicated their time and talents to sprucing up our schools. Thanks to this amazing partnership, APS has saved more than $1.3 million in school makeovers!

As the APS 2020: Shaping the Future strategic plan highlights, one of our core beliefs is that community partnerships provide vital resources and opportunities for students and families. We thank each volunteer for their service and we are grateful for our sponsors who helped make this project a reality.
